Q: What can you tell me about a natural diabetes “cure”…?
mentioned by Kevin Trudeau in his updated edition of his “Natural Cures” book. He references an interview with a Dr. Yung Su Kim and a “combination of herbs researched at the University of Calgary, called by the Asian Diabetic Association” the final cure for diabetes.

I’ve googled this as best I could but come up with a variety of different things. Has anyone found this product or even used it that can tell me more?

Thanks in advance for your responses.

A: Global trotter is half right. Allow me to amplify on his/her answer.
Diabetes mellitus type 2 (DMT2) is not curable but it is REVERSIBLE.
The first step, if you are overweight, is weight loss. This in itself may be enough to reverse your BG numbers.
Tofu and other soy products are harmful and should be avoided; the only safe soy is that which has been FERMENTED: tempeh, miso and natto.
Quality protein is necessary for good health. Fish is terrific but high in mercury; choose small fish, low on the food chain, like sardines and herring, or choose a quality fish oil like Garden of Life or Carlson’s. Go for organic meats and poultry if at all possible (you may be able to find an affordable local source) since commercial meats are pumped full of undesirable hormones and antibiotics.
Choose veggies that are not starchy and not calorie-dense. Broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, lettuce, celery, tomatoes, spinach, chard, mushrooms – you get the idea. Stay away from potatoes, yams, etc.
Avoid grains, yes, even whole grains. No refined flours, white rice, pasta. I’ve found oatmeal (5-minute, not instant) to be the only grain that does not spike my blood glucose. No sweeteners, or course. In fact, it should be obvious that sugar in any form is off the menu if you are serious about reversing DMT2. The only non-calorie sweetener that is perfectly safe is stevia.

Whole eggs are one of the healthiest foods you can eat. Include healthy fats as well to help you feel full: butter, lard, raw cream, coconut oil, extra virgin olive oil. Avoid Omega-6 fats like margarine and vegetable oils; not only are they GMO, they upset our Omega-3 vs. Omega-6 balance that is instrumental in heart disease.

Global trotter is right about exercise too. A half-hour of walking a day would be ideal, but any activity is helpful, even 10-minute bursts of this and that. The more activity, the faster those numbers come down.

There are a whole series of supplements and herbs that are supposed to help lower BG or improve insulin receptivity. I’ve tried them all – cinnamon, bitter melon, GTF chromium, ALA, Gymnema Sylvestre etc. – none of them helped me at all. Diet and exercise are what’s working for me. Good luck and stay focused!

Q: What is the natural cure for Diabetes and Multiple sclerosis?
You always hear about natural cures for diseases, but you never hear of what they are or even the treatments. I’ve heard there is a natural cure for Herpes, diabetes, Multiple Sclerosis, and hypertension, but no one ever seems to know what they are, or where they can be found. I have even read that book ‘Natural Cures “They” Don’t Want You to Know About’ by Kevin Trudeau and he just beats around the bush. Is there anyone out there with solid evidence and answers?

A: I am sure that if there was solid evidence backed by real proof of natural cures for diseases that _many_ healthcare professionals would be talking about them, they would be in respected journals, even the so-called ‘evil’ pharmaceutical companies would be manufacturing ‘enhanced’, ’safer’, ‘more effective’ natural cures. Just look at all the various companies that make different kinds of Vitamin C, Rosehips, Iron pills, and the like for your local grocery store.

IMHO, I think you’re best bet is to work with a professional doctor.

Be cautious when referencing Kevin Trudeau’s “Natural Cures They Don’t Want You To Know About.” Do a little reading on this guy, then decide for yourself. Personally, I think he’s a huckster out to make a buck using ridiculous claims backed by pseudo-science and possibly outright untruths .. but that’s just my opinion .. and some other people like doctors, respected journalists, etc.

Q: Does anyone know a natural cure for diabetes?
I know there isn’t a real cure and it is controlled by tablets ,I need to know if anyone knows of any other natural relief, please pour your answers.

A: No. There isn’t one.

Keeping healthy in other ways, good sugar control, good blood pressure control, low fat diet, not smoking, BMI within average range (not overweight) will all help to stop or minimise the complications of diabetes

Q: Is natural cure effective in helping diabetes?
We are thinking of intercepting the concept of naturopathy in helping my step dad for his diabetes condition. Is it going to be effective? Anyone had tried before?

A: You don’t say what type your father in law is. If he is type 1 using insulin then messing with the treatment plan his doctor has worked out is dangerous. I’ve actually had people tell me I could stop taking insulin simply by going vegetarian which is rubbish I’d be dead by now if I believed that.

Q: is there a Natural cure for diabetes?

also read the books hallelujah diet and read the testamonies on diabetes at their website hacres.com

also read there is a cure for diabetes by gabriel cousens

Also email me if interested for the videos on the incurables program by richard schulze which has reversed diabetes

I was recently diagnosed with diabetes and am in the process of trying to work towards some of these thing and lifestyle changes …if it works, I will post my testimony at curezoze.com in the diabetes forum later.

Q: Feline all-natural Diabetes cure??????
I have a 13 year old male cat who has been diagnosed with diabetes in the last 6 months. He was given a pill prescription, but that only elevated his blood sugar. We refuse to give him shots, because we feel that is cruel to stick him with needles every day. I am just curious if there is any food or creatable remedy to prolong his life, or even help cure the diabetes…

A: There are prescription diabetic cat foods. Ask your vet.

But let me ask you a question. If you were diabetic, and needed insulin shots, would you find it cruel to give yourself an insulin shot? Or would you look for possibly untested home remedies that may be dangerous?

Q: Can someone suggest natural cures for diabetes?
I am tired of taking medications for years for my diabetes. As I grow older I want to reduce medication and switchover to natural cures if possible.

A: Diabetes is not reversible. Please don’t discontinue any medication without discussing it with your doctor, and PLEASE don’t take advice from people who know so little about diabetes that they refer you to bastions of quackery like Mercola and Natural News.

You don’t give your age, and you don’t say whether you have type 1 or type 2 diabetes, or whether it’s insulin you are taking.

But in another question you talk about your love of junk food and how you don’t understand how it can be bad for you.

Type 2 diabetes can often be controlled by diet alone; mine is. And junk food has no part in a diet for controlling type 2 diabetes. At my 6 monthly check ups, my average glucose level for the previous 3 months is regularly around 5.2; I don’t know where you live or how that translates, but it’s very good control. But I know that however controlled it is, however low I keep my blood glucose levels – I’ll still always be diabetic.

There are no ‘natural cures’ for diabetes. It’s a bugger; I wish I wasn’t diabetic too, but it’s with me for life. It is for you too. I manage to keep on the straight and narrow by asking myself which I want more, chocolate or my feet? Junk food or my eyesight? No contest. If I had to take medication for diabetes my attitude would be the same.

Please don’t run the risk of uncontrolled diabetes and the dire consequences that can have by abandoning your meds and going for any of the dubious (at best) ‘cures’ that may be recommended here.

Q: alternative natural cure for jaundice and diabetes?
I am new here my husband told me to try asking my question here and I hope I can get some help.

My dad has both jaundise and diabetes. his health seems to be getting worse. Im not sure that his medications are helping him. He takes metforman and adriamycin. He seems to be getting worse.

i just want to know if anyone has heard of any alternitive natural cures and therapies that might work for his conditions. I am open to any ideas. Thankyou

A: Why is he on Adriamycin? Is there some information you are not giving? Adriamycin is a chemotherapy agent.
Metformin is an anti-diabetic drug with a possible side effect of LIVER DAMAGE and jaundice. (see reference given) Sounds like he needs to be on something different…now. Even if he has to take insulin shots for a while , I would think that would be better than those potentially life-threatening side effects. THEN you can pursue natural options once you stop the poisoning. If he gets on something with less damaging side-effects, then he can pursue other options to stop diabetes (depending on cause). Exercise included. Since you don’t mention that he takes insulin shots, that probably means his pancreas is still functional…so, dietary and lifestyle modifications will help a great deal.

eg: If your thumb hurt, you’d want to stop hitting it with a hammer before wrapping it and applying ice.

Q: what is the natural cure for diabetes?

A: Exercise is the best answer

Though Not for all states, like not for insulin dependent

But it helps better glycemic control and reduces dependence

Q: any natural cure for diabetes 2?

A: Food Therapy should be followed under the supervision from your doctor. Check your sugar level frequently so that sugar levels do not go beyond the recommended level

Foods to avoid

It is always advisable to avoid some foods if you are diabetic such as refined sugar, sweets, syrups, glucose, jam, molasses, fruit sugar, ice-cream, cakes, pastries, sweet biscuits, chocolates, soft drinks, condensed milk, cream and fried foods. Fats like butter, ghee and hydrogenated vegetable oil should also be avoided. White sugar and white flour should be reduced drastically. Avoid all processed foods, junk food, pastries, cookies, canned and preserved foods. They contain harmful preservatives and lot of salt. Avoid soft drinks since these have a lot of sugar. Try to avoid fried foods from your diet. Smoking results in the using up of oxygen in the body. It will result in less of oxygen needed by the body to metabolize glucose. So smoking should be avoided.

Foods to be limited

Salt consumption should be reduced to a minimum. You will get enough salt form the vegetables and fruits you eat. Reduce animal foods especially red meats. Reduce poultry and egg. Reduce caffeine and alcohol. Do not drink tea and coffee more than 2 cups a day. Try to replace it with green tea or herbal teas like Parsley tea, Blueberry leaf, Tea made of tender walnut tree leaves, Water in which kidney bean pods have been cooked is good diabetes.

Do not consume alcohol in empty stomach. Alcohol on an empty stomach can cause low blood glucose or hypoglycemia.Foods that should be consumed in moderation are honey and other natural sugars like palm sugar, dates which can be used instead of white sugar. Remember these should be consumed in very little quantity only.Pasta, coconut, other nuts, unsweetened juices, eggs should be limited. You can replace it with whole grain, unpolished rice and Soya products. Try to eat whole grain bread instead of white flour. Fats like olive oil and peanut oil are more advisable that hydrogenated fats. Low fat food like skimmed milk and low fat home made cottage cheese can be taken in moderation. You can also substitute it with yoghurt. Sea food and fish also can be taken in moderation.

Foods to be taken

Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. An alkaline diet with natural food is recommended. Wholegrain, fruits, nuts, vegetables, and dairy products form a good diet for the diabetic. Raw vegetables can be taken in high quantities. It has been found that cooked foods raise blood glucose higher than raw, unpeeled foods. Cooking destroys many of the enzymes and some vitamins and minerals.

Eat at least five fruits every day. Fruits like grape fruit, pomegranate juice, Indian blackberry, banana, granny smith apples, fig, cranberries, black berry, kiwi fruits, and citrus fruits are highly recommended. It can be taken as a snack. Cucumber, Lettuce, onion, garlic string beans cucumber radish, tomato, carrot, leaves; spinach turnip, cabbage and Jerusalem artichoke are good for diabetes. Colorful vegetables are good for the functioning of pancreas. Drink Fruit juices without sugar. Brewer’s yeast and sprouted alfalfa and mung beans are good for the body. Unripe banana also can be cooked and eaten.

The most important of all is eating high fiber diet which lowers need for insulin. It releases energy into the body slowly. It has also been found that diabetes decreases and may even disappear in people eating a high fiber or whole food diet. High fiber diet has more chromium and chromium is very good for people with diabetes. Eat lot of potassium rich foods like raw peanuts, tomato, bananas, melons, dried peas, potatoes, apple cider vinegar, skimmed milk powder, wheat but do not take potassium supplements.

Include soluble fiber in your meals like barley, oatmeal, almond meal, dried beans, kidney beans, cooked black beans, peas, cereals, chickpeas, Bengal gram which has low glycemic index, , Black gram, lentils and corn or garbanzo beans to helps considerably in reducing blood sugar levels. Soy products like tofu, tempeh, soymilk, soya powder, soy bean sprouts, nuggets etc are also very good in containing neurological complications in diabetes. You can make bread out of any of the whole grains. Get a lot of soluble fiber into your diet. When you eat lots of bread, cereal and starchy vegetables you will get enough of starches which is very helpful for diabetes. Insoluble fibers, found in bran (oat bran, wheat bran), whole grain breads, whole grains and nuts, act as intestinal scrubbers by cleaning out the lower gastrointestinal tract. Fiber cleans your intestinal tract by moving out the food so that it wouldn’t stay there and putrefy. Butter milk and yoghurt diet are very beneficial.

Chromium: Whole grains, seeds, mushrooms, corn oil and brewer’s yeast are relatively good sources of biologically valuable chromium. Vitamin A:. Take A dose of 15,000i.u. on alternate days. Vitamin B: Avoid large dosage of vitamin B because this vitamin interferes with the absorption of insulin by cells.

Q: natural cure for diabetes ?
Any true life experience, comments from medical professionals

A: Assuming that you are talking of type 2 diabetes, there was a small study carried out in the States looking at new onset type 2 diabetics.

About 12 patients were subjected to a punishing regime of diet, weight loss and very aggressive prolonged physical exercise. Under these extreme conditions about half were able to revert to normal glucose tolerance. Unfortunately this did not represent a realistic treatment option, but rather management of scientific interest.

Q: Is there a natural cure for type 1 diabetes?

A: Hi Jeremy P.
Fortunately this type of diabetes can be controlled and managed more comfortably than type 2 diabetes. However, this does not change the fact that this is a serious condition and if you have the disease, you have to be very careful. Diabetes is not a condition that you can neglect; medical attention is required as soon as it is diagnosed. If left untreated, it will lead to more serious health problems. You have to be careful about what you eat and what you do.

As the pancreas stops the production of insulin in type 1 diabetes, the treatment for this disease would include the introduction of insulin to the body. There are about 20 types of products available which could provide the much needed insulin. Which product should be taken depends on the patient and the physician providing the health care.

Q: any natural diabetes cures or ways to help fight off type 2 diabetes???
are there any natural ways to help fight off diabetes using natural herbs and foods, if so please list them, i am paying out $250+ a month on medications that do not seem to be helping, and have been doing so for the last 3 years, i follow a strict diet with little to no sugars and carbs, but all i manage to do is go deeper in debt and get sicker.

A: You should check-out, Kevin Trudeau’s Natural Cures book. I haven’t read this book myself but I have heard many good things about it. I believe he addresses diabetes in length and things you can do to bring it under control.

I wish you the best of luck and good health. I really feel you on this issue because my dad passed away from diabetes.

Q: Is there truly a “natural” cure for diabetes?
Type 1 AND 2

A: You would have to define “cure” first. According to my recent blood test, I’m not diabetic even though I was diagnosed with it over three years ago. I don’t necessarily claim to be cured, but the results are looking pretty good so far…. Here’s what I’m doing:

Q: Part 2……A natural cure for many cases of diabetes for my Christian brethren and all others…..I guess?
I will spill the beans,…..I put this in questions in the Diabetics section earlier and not 10 minutes later a orchestrated letter tried to discredit every thing i wanted to share.

You guy’s can believe what you want……..i have proof with my hyperglecemic Daughter and 4 of my realitives that have totally got off of insulin,….of coarse they had to continue a good diet but my DAUGHTER WASN’T FAR ADVANCED so she can eat sweets on occasion,…..now i’m not saying you guys can…..it must be monitered so you will know what the dosage is best……Ok here it is……it’s called “”CHROMIUM PICOLINATE” it is all natural suppliment…..Doctors will not prescribe it because it is not FDA approved,…..rule of thumb….basically anything that is natural is not FDA approved……..why you ask because they can make money off something that is so easily accessable to the public…it’s about that $$$ …My daughter takes 500 mg of Chromium Picolinate 30 to 60 minutes before a meal.
Remember you must continue to take the suppliment through out your life,….no biggy i take it and i don’t have diabetes,…..it will even help you from getting diabetes. Be good to your self….you all deserve it!! Peace out
Remember you must continue to take the suppliment through out your life,….no biggy i take it and i don’t have diabetes,…..it will even help you from getting diabetes. Be good to your self….you all deserve it!! Peace out
Yes you must do your research,…….there is proper dosages,…….Less might be better,….consult your Doctor or a Nutritionalist………..they can help…….ask questions…….The Doctor might be reluctant to tell you the truth but your nutritionalist should be more then happy.
Your a funny guy Bluto……..you silly rabbit………that was kinda funny though!
Yes it must be taken in Mcg not MG’

A: Chromium acts as a ‘gatekeeper’ which permits insulin through the cell membrane to metabolize sugars. Many diabetics are of the ‘insulin resistant’ type. That is, their pancreas makes plenty of insulin, but the cells are resistant to letting it enter (usually due to an allergic reaction from a life time of eating too many simple carbohydrates, and sugars). For these people (probably at least 50% of Type 2 diabetics Chromium Picolinate can be quite helpful. They probably should also supplement with Vanadium.

By the way, I think you mean ‘mcg’ (micrograms) not ‘mg’ (milligrams)…….
